Miss J Alexander says Tyra Banks hasn’t visited after stroke left him paralyzed

J. Alexander, widely known as Miss J from America’s Next Top Model, has revealed that Tyra Banks has not visited him following a severe stroke that left him paralyzed.

Speaking in a recent docuseries revisiting the legacy of America’s Next Top Model, Miss J shared that he suffered a major stroke on Dec. 27, 2022, which left him in a coma for five weeks. When he regained consciousness, he was unable to walk or speak and faced a long road to recovery.

He described the experience as life-altering, recalling moments of fear and uncertainty as he worked toward regaining mobility. Despite the challenges, he said he remains determined to walk again.

While former colleagues Jay Manuel and Nigel Barker visited him during his hospitalization, Miss J said Banks did not come to see him in person, though she did send a text message expressing concern and a desire to visit.
