Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant is facing renewed scrutiny after social media users alleged that an X account under the handle “@gethigher77” may belong to him. The account has been linked to posts critical of fellow NBA stars, fueling speculation about a possible burner profile.

The controversy gained traction during All-Star Weekend, as screenshots circulated showing the account appearing to take shots at players including Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic. One post seemed to mock Doncic in relation to Kyrie Irving, while another referenced Jokic’s turnovers.

Amid the backlash, popular streamer NEON publicly came to Durant’s defense during a livestream.

“That was not him,” NEON said. “I saw what we all saw on Twitter about KD. He would never do something like that. He would never. Ever. He would never hate on his teammates. That’s just not the type of guy he is. I know him personally.”
