Leslie Grossman joins Power Book III: Raising Kanan for fifth and final season

Leslie Grossman joins Power Book III: Raising Kanan’s final season as Manhattan madam Florence 'Flossie' Siegel

Leslie Grossman, known for American Horror Story and Love, Victor, has joined the recurring cast of Power Book III: Raising Kanan for its fifth and final season on Starz.

Grossman will portray Florence “Flossie” Siegel, Manhattan’s most prolific madam, who combines a polished public persona with the toughness and shrewdness of her Jewish mobster heritage.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan explores the early life of Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis), chronicling his evolution from a naïve teenager into the cutthroat villain originally portrayed by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in the flagship Power series. Season 4 concluded with a dramatic showdown between Kanan and his mother, Raq (Patina Miller), resulting in multiple deaths and the introduction of Branford “Breeze” Frady (Shameik Moore), connecting the prequel with the main Power universe.

In the upcoming season, fans will learn Raq’s fate following the Season 4 cliffhanger in which Kanan shot her, believing she orchestrated the deaths of his loved ones. Kanan is confirmed to survive the season and transition into the Power: Origins spin-off, which will feature young versions of Ghost (Spence Moore II) and Tommy (Charlie Mann) as ambitious street entrepreneurs in New York City. Sascha Penn, showrunner of Raising Kanan, also serves as executive producer and showrunner for Power: Origins.

The series is executive produced by Courtney A. Kemp, Jackson, and Mark Canton, with production handled by Lionsgate Television for Starz. Grossman’s career highlights include her breakout role as Mary Cherry on Popular, and appearances on What I Like About You, The Goldbergs, Goliath, Shrill, Black-ish, and Dexter. She is represented by Innovative Artists and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
