Taylor Swift joined the celebration for Team USA skier Breezy Johnson after the Olympic gold medalist got engaged at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, turning a dramatic race day into an unforgettable personal milestone.

Johnson, 30, crashed during the women’s super-G event but walked away uninjured — and moments later, her boyfriend Connor Watkins was waiting at the finish line to propose. The heartfelt moment quickly went viral, especially because Watkins incorporated lyrics from Swift’s song “The Alchemy” into the proposal.

Swift herself took notice, commenting on Johnson’s Instagram post with "'Where's the trophy? He just comes running over to me' CONGRATULATIONS!!!"

Johnson and Watkins first met on a dating app, and their relationship blossomed in the years leading up to the Games. Watkins, who works in construction, planned the proposal for over a year, coordinating the surprise with help from members of the U.S. ski team.

The emotional moment added a joyful twist to Johnson’s Olympic journey, proving that even after a tough race, the Games can still deliver unforgettable memories — and in Johnson’s case, a gold medal and a fiancé in the same week.
