Silent Hill Townfall confirmed for 2026 release on PS5 and PC
Silent Hill Townfall set in 1996 Scotland targets 2026 launch on PS5 and PC, year after Silent Hill f

Konami has confirmed Silent Hill Townfall as the next entry in the long-running horror franchise, with a 2026 release window for PlayStation 5 and PC.
The game arrives just a year after Silent Hill f and marks another expansion of the series following a period of inactivity. Development on Silent Hill Townfall has been underway since 2022, with the title targeting a launch later this year. An exact release date has not yet been announced.
Silent Hill Townfall is set in Scotland in 1996 and introduces a new protagonist, Simon Ordell. The story unfolds on the island of St. Amelia, where a dense fog blankets the town. Players will navigate deserted streets and alleyways while uncovering the island’s past.
Unlike previous mainline entries, Townfall adopts a first-person perspective. Players experience events through Simon’s viewpoint rather than an over-the-shoulder camera. The game retains an emphasis on melee combat, similar to Silent Hill f, but also encourages players to avoid or flee encounters.
A key gameplay feature is a CRTV device used by Simon to detect enemies in the fog and uncover hidden elements in the environment.
According to writer and director Jon McKellan, “Draw too much attention and [enemies] will dynamically hunt the player, using their senses to track them down as best they can.” Puzzles are expected to play a significant role throughout the game, rewarding close attention to environmental details.
Silent Hill Townfall was showcased during the February 12, 2026 State of Play event, followed by a Silent Hill Transmission livestream offering further insight.
The title is confirmed for PS5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with no announcements regarding additional platforms.
