Prime Video greenlights Chloe Walsh’s Boys of Tommen series adaptation

Prime Video has officially greenlit a television adaptation of Chloe Walsh’s bestselling Boys of Tommen series, bringing the viral BookTok sensation to the screen.

The project will adapt the first two novels — Binding 13 and Keeping 13 — from Walsh’s six-book romance saga, with A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder writer Poppy Cogan attached to script the series.

Set in Ballylaggin, Ireland, the story follows the forbidden romance between Johnny Kavanagh, a rising rugby star facing a potentially career-ending injury, and Shannon Lynch, a shy newcomer hiding a troubled home life. The series explores themes of love, trauma, bullying, and mental health — elements that helped the novels resonate with readers worldwide.

The greenlight is one of the first major projects overseen by Nicole Clemens, Prime Video’s VP of International Originals. Clemens emphasized her focus on building a strong UK and Ireland content slate while identifying shows with the potential to travel internationally.

Walsh’s novels have topped the New York Times bestseller list and gained massive traction on BookTok, underscoring the growing influence of online reading communities in shaping streaming content. With six books available, the adaptation could evolve into a long-running franchise if the initial season proves successful.

Cogan will executive produce alongside Walsh and producers Paul Lee, Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and Greg Brenman, among others, as Prime Video continues expanding its romance and young-adult offerings.
