Woman alleges abuse by in-laws

Victim accused her brother-in-law, father-in-law of continuously harassing her in her own house

RAWALPINDI:

A man and his father were booked for assaulting their own relative in the Gujar Khan area. While filing a complaint with the police, the victim accused her brother-in-law, Nayar Taazim, and her father-in-law of continuously harassing her in her own house.

In her complaint, the victim said that she is a housewife, who stays home with her son while her husband is at work. She stated that Taazim was deported from the UK in a rape case and ever since returning, he had been harassing her every day. Two days before the complaint was filed, he had allegedly been taking drugs and drinking with his friends in their living room. The victim called his aunt over to get him to stop; however, this only led him to lose his temper as he threatened to shoot them.

The victim also accused him off forcing himself on her by pushing her and tearing her clothes when she came out of the washroom the next morning. She mentioned that she had filmed both Nayar and his father, who had also been harassing her, as evidence before she ran away to save her life.

She also alleged that Taazeem had tried to assault her son but was stopped by interveners.
