Steve-O faces backlash over illegal immigrant comments on Wild Ride podcast
Steve-O criticized for claiming many illegal immigrants are murderers on podcast episode with Harland Williams

Steve-O, the stunt performer and former Jackass star, is facing criticism after making controversial remarks about illegal immigrants on a recent episode of his podcast Steve-O’s Wild Ride.
On the February 3, 2026 episode, Steve-O spoke with Canadian actor and comedian Harland Williams. During the discussion, Steve-O suggested that “so many of these people who are illegally in America… it’s like the majority of them are murderers” and referred to them as “bad hombres,” echoing a phrase used by former President Donald Trump in 2016.
Harland Williams challenged these statements, calling them a “huge fallacy” and pointing out that such generalizations are misleading. Steve-O additionally cited concerns about drug trafficking, mentioning fentanyl, to justify his claims.
Clips of the conversation quickly circulated online, prompting backlash from viewers who called the remarks offensive and racially insensitive. On Reddit, one user commented, “Steve-O isn’t talking ‘politics’ in this clip. He’s being racist and peddling white supremacist talking points… he knows what he’s saying, he’s just being racist.” Other commenters criticized Steve-O for spreading unverified claims and relying on stereotypes rather than facts.
Steve-O, whose career includes stunt performances and television appearances alongside the Jackass team, has publicly battled substance abuse and now hosts a podcast that often features candid discussions with celebrities. The recent episode has reignited debate over public figures making controversial statements about immigration.
