Gems sector: Pakistan participates in Bangkok fair
Pavilion of Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Corporation (PGJDC) in Bangkok Fair allured thousands of visitors
ISLAMABAD:
The pavilion of Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Corporation (PGJDC) in Bangkok Fair allured thousands of visitors and helped in enhancing collaboration with other countries with regard to exchanges of expertise and know-how in the areas of skill development. To accentuate the importance attached by Pakistan to the development of the gems and jewellery sector, Minister of State for Production, Khawaja Sheeraz Mahmood also visited the fair including the Pakistan Pavilion. The minister focused on enhancing mutual collaboration between Pakistan and Thailand with regard to exchanges of expertise and know-how in the areas of skill development, technology up-gradation and business and trade for the development of the sector. He further directed PGJDC to prepare training plans for the sector
which can be shared with Thailand Institutions for technical collaboration.
