K-P marks Kashmir Solidarity Day

Rallies in Peshawar, Swabi, Shangla, DI Khan, Mardan back Kashmiris' right to self-determination

Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed with great enthusiasm and national fervor across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Thursday, as communities, government officials, traders, students, and civil society came together in rallies, walks, and special prayers to reaffirm Pakistan's unwavering support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination.

In Peshawar, the Capital Metropolitan Authority organized a vibrant rally that started from its office and proceeded to Bacha Khan Chowk. Participants carried banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favor of Kashmiri rights, chanting "Kashmir Zindabad" throughout the route. The rally was led by Assistant Director Admin Khuda-e-Nazar and Chief Demolishing Inspector-cum-Chairman Labor Union Qaiser Bacha. A large number of staff members and citizens participated.

Addressing the participants, Nazar described Kashmir as Pakistan's jugular vein and emphasized that highlighting the Kashmiri freedom struggle on every forum is a national and moral duty. Qaiser Bacha reiterated that the Pakistani nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Kashmiri brothers, pledging continued moral, political, and diplomatic support at all levels. The event concluded with special prayers for the elevation of Kashmiri martyrs' ranks and the freedom of Kashmir.

In Swabi district, the day was marked with similar zeal. A walk and rally began from the Deputy Commissioner's office and ended at Aman Chowk.

Schoolchildren, along with a large number of citizens, carried Kashmir flags and banners. The event saw participation from the district administration, Swabi Police, Rescue 1122 personnel, AC Swabi, SDPO Circle Swabi ASP Muhammad Numan, SHO Swabi Aajab Drani, traffic staff, revenue officials, and municipal administration personnel.

ASP Muhammad Numan stated that the purpose of observing February 5 is to convey that Kashmiris are not alone in their struggle for freedom. He affirmed that all Pakistanis will continue raising their voice in support. He added that police remains steadfast in protecting people's legitimate rights and is committed to safeguarding the country's sovereignty and integrity. The program ended with prayers for the integrity of Pakistan and occupied Kashmir.

In Shangla district, events were held in collaboration with the district administration and civil society, marked by devotion and national unity. Rallies, gatherings, and prayer meetings took place across the district. Special prayers were offered in mosques for peace, freedom, and success for the oppressed.
