Zayn Malik has announced his fifth studio album, KONNAKOL, marking ten years since his solo debut. While the full album is set to release later this year, the track "Die for Me" will be available to listen on Friday.

The singer confirmed the project following a seven-night Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, where he introduced five previously unheard tracks between January 20 and 31. The album signals a return to the R&B-led sound that defined his early solo work, while incorporating South Asian musical influences that reflect his heritage.

Artwork for KONNAKOL, shot by photographer Nabil Elderkin, features Zayn’s blurred face alongside a snow leopard, a symbol associated with South Asia. The imagery was also used during the Las Vegas shows, offering an early visual reference to the new era.

During the residency, Zayn told audiences, “I’ve been in the studio a little bit. I got a new record coming for you guys pretty soon. I’m really excited about that… I’ll be playing some songs tonight for the first time. For you guys.” Across the dates, he premiered tracks including “Used to the Blues”, “Fatal”, “Die for Me” and two untitled songs. “Fatal” features Urdu lyrics, marking the first time he has incorporated his native language beyond brief phrases.

Zayn has described KONNAKOL as a continuation of Mind of Mine, which debuted at number one in the US and included the chart-topping single “Pillowtalk”. His subsequent albums explored broader styles, including folk and Americana on 2024’s Room Under the Stairs.

Following the album’s release, Zayn has indicated plans for a major tour later in 2026, with dates expected across the UK, Mexico, the United States and South America.

KONNAKOL comes out April 17 and will be released through Republic Records.
