Season 4 of Netflix’s hit period drama Bridgerton recorded a robust debut, drawing 39.7 million views within its first four days of release, according to Netflix viewing data for the week of Jan. 27 to Feb. 1. The milestone made it the most-watched title on the platform during that period.

The new season’s opening performance marks a 12% decline compared to Season 3, which premiered in 2024 with a franchise-best 45.1 million views. Despite the dip, the latest installment is still considered a solid launch for the Regency-era series, which has historically demonstrated long-term audience growth.

Season 3 went on to spend 11 consecutive weeks in Netflix’s Top 10 rankings and currently stands as the streamer’s ninth most-watched English-language series of all time, amassing 106 million views in its first 91 days. With months still ahead, Season 4 is expected to continue building its viewership.

The release of the new season also renewed interest in earlier installments. Bridgerton Season 1 re-entered the Netflix chart at No. 10 with 2.7 million views, while Season 3 placed slightly higher at No. 8 with the same viewership figure. Positioned between them at No. 9 was Season 5 of Stranger Things, which premiered on Thanksgiving Day and concluded on New Year’s Day.

Beyond Bridgerton, the Netflix Top 10 saw His & Hers rank second with 11 million views in its fourth week, followed by Finding Her Edge at No. 3 with 6.7 million views. Alex Honnold’s live free solo climb documentary Skyscraper Live took fourth place with 5.3 million views.

Comedy also featured prominently, with Mike Epps’ stand-up special Delusional debuting at No. 5 with 3.8 million views in its first three days, and Bert Kreischer’s Free Bert landing at No. 6 with 3.7 million views in its second week. Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials rounded out the rankings in seventh place with 3 million views.
