Bruno Mars kicked off the 2026 Grammy Awards with an electrifying opening alongside Rosé from Blackpink, performing their rock‑leaning collaboration APT. before delivering the live debut of his new single I Just Might. The Grammy stage lit up as Rosé planted a playful kiss on Mars’ cheek, signalling the high-energy start to the night. Fans online were quick to celebrate the performance, highlighting the chemistry between the pop icons and the theatrical flair of the act.
Mars’ second appearance on the Grammy stage featured his first live performance of I Just Might, the lead single from his highly anticipated album The Romantic, which is set to release on February 27. Backed by a fully decked-out band in red and a massive heart-shaped backdrop, Mars’ performance showcased his signature energy, intricate choreography, and vocal prowess. Lady Gaga and other audience members were seen enjoying the show, while fans at home shared clips across social media, praising Mars’ continued ability to command a stage.
Mars entered the Grammys with three nominations, all for APT. featuring Rosé: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The single, released in October 2024 as part of Rosé’s solo debut album Rosie, dominated streaming charts in 2025, topping Apple Music’s global year-end charts and achieving massive radio and Shazam success.
The 15-time Grammy winner has been a fixture in the music industry since 2010, claiming previous Record of the Year awards for Uptown Funk (2014), 24K Magic (2016), and Leave the Door Open (2021) as part of Silk Sonic with Anderson .Paak. His latest album and tour signal a return to solo work after nearly a decade since 24K Magic, cementing Mars as one of pop music’s most enduring performers.
The performance of I Just Might also signals a major moment in Mars’ upcoming The Romantic Tour, which is almost sold out and begins in April, with .Paak returning as DJ Pee .Wee.
