US President Donald Trump sharply criticized the Grammy Awards and host Trevor Noah following a joke made during the ceremony that referenced Trump’s past association with Jeffrey Epstein.

During the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, Noah made a remark alluding to Trump’s name appearing in public discussions around Epstein, prompting laughter from the audience. The comment appeared to suggest Trump may have been linked to Epstein Island, a claim Trump has repeatedly denied.

Shortly after the broadcast ended, Trump responded on Truth Social with a lengthy post condemning both the awards show and its host. He described the Grammys as “virtually unwatchable” and criticized CBS for airing the ceremony.

Trump then turned his attention to Noah, dismissing the comedian as an ineffective host and comparing him unfavorably to other late-night figures. He strongly rejected Noah’s remark about Epstein, insisting he had never visited Epstein Island or been accused of doing so prior to the joke.

“Noah said, incorrectly, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island,” Trump wrote, adding that while he could not speak for Clinton, he had “never been there, nor anywhere close.”

The president went on to threaten legal action against Noah, accusing him of spreading false and defamatory statements. Trump claimed he would instruct his lawyers to pursue a lawsuit, warning the host to “get his facts straight.”
