KARACHI:

Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has stated that the Sindh government's effective and result-oriented surrender policy is yielding positive outcomes.

Under this policy, 26 notorious and wanted dacoits in Kashmore district have laid down their arms and surrendered before the police and law enforcement agencies.

Lanjar said that just a day earlier in Sukkur, 12 dacoits had also surrendered themselves to the law, which clearly proves that due to the ongoing mega operation in the katcha areas, criminal elements are under severe pressure and fear, while the writ of the state is being further strengthened.

He said that the joint operation by the police, Sindh Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies will continue with full force until complete restoration of law and order and elimination of crime.

Lanjar said: "I urge the dacoits to surrender and lay down their arms instead of falling within the ambit of the massive operation. The Sindh Government has shown the path of peace. Those who comply will be welcomed. It is better to take advantage of the surrender policy now rather than regret later."
