Jury Duty season 2 release date confirmed for Amazon Prime Video

Amazon sets March 20 premiere for Jury Duty season 2, a staged corporate retreat prank at a fake hot sauce company run

Amazon Prime Video has officially announced the release schedule for “Jury Duty” Season 2, titled Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat.

The new installment of the hidden-camera comedy will debut on March 20 with its first three episodes. Two additional episodes will follow on March 27, leading up to a three-episode finale on April 3.

Like the first season, the show centers on one unsuspecting real person placed in a fully staged environment surrounded by actors. This time, the story follows Anthony, a newly hired temporary worker attending what he believes is a genuine corporate retreat for a family-owned hot sauce company. In reality, every colleague, conversation and event has been carefully scripted and performed.

According to the official synopsis, the retreat becomes increasingly chaotic as the company’s founder prepares to step down. The fake workplace getaway turns into a battle between expansion-driven corporate ideas and the traditions of a small business, with the future of the company seemingly at stake.

The format mirrors the breakout first season, in which Ronald Gladden thought he was serving on a real jury while everyone else in the courtroom was an actor. That season premiered in 2023 and earned widespread acclaim, including multiple Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations.

Season 2 brings back executive producers David Bernad, Lee Eisenberg, Gene Stupnitsky and others, with Eisenberg and Stupnitsky again serving as co-creators. Jake Szymanski directs the new episodes.

With its elaborate prank setup and workplace satire, “Jury Duty” Season 2 aims to build on the surprise success of the original series on Amazon Prime Video.
