A two-year-old boy from Manchester, England, has made history by securing two Guinness World Records for performing advanced trick shots in the cue sport of snooker and pool, becoming the youngest person ever to achieve both feats.

The toddler, Jude Owens, executed a highly challenging snooker double pot at the age of 2 years and 261 days, sinking two balls into separate pockets with a single cue strike — a maneuver that even experienced players find difficult.

Just weeks later, at 2 years and 302 days, he successfully completed a pool bank shot, rebounding the cue ball off one or more rails before potting an object ball. These accomplishments earned him official recognition in the Guinness World Records.

Jude’s father, Luke Owens, first noticed his son’s aptitude for cue sports at home, where snooker quickly became young Jude’s favourite pastime. To help him reach the full-size snooker table, the family improvised using stools until they found a stable setup that worked for his height.

Luke described Jude’s instinctive handling of the cue as “dead natural,” noting that his son instinctively demonstrated control and precision at an age when most children struggle with basic coordination.

In addition to setting two world records, Jude has already drawn attention from the snooker community. He made a special walk-out appearance at the 2025 UK Snooker Championship and has become one of the youngest individuals to receive a sport sponsorship tied to his cue sport talent. Guinness World Records praised his skills and enthusiasm, highlighting both the difficulty of the trick shots and the inclusivity of world record achievements.

Despite his remarkable accomplishments, Jude’s father says he remains focused on letting his son enjoy the game without pressure, suggesting that the toddler might even outperform him in the future. Jude himself reportedly declared that his favourite type of shot is “a trick shot,” reflecting his confidence and delight in mastering each challenge.

The feats of Jude Owens have captured global attention, with footage and commentary shared widely across social media platforms. What began as a family activity has turned into an international milestone, celebrating the extraordinary potential and joy of young talent.
