Margot Robbie has spoken about filming kissing scenes with Jacob Elordi in the upcoming period romantic drama Wuthering Heights. The film is written and directed by Emerald Fennell and is loosely inspired by Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel of the same name.
Robbie made the comments while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote the film. During the interview, she discussed both her experience working with Elordi and watching the finished film as a producer.
The actor revealed that she had recently screened the film in an unusual setting. “Last week, my friends who are amazing threw a bachelorette for Kathy. Kathy is the character I play, and I kind of thought it was a joke at first,” she said. Robbie explained that she showed the film to her friends at the beginning of the event, describing the experience as “the most unhinged experience of my life.”
She added that the audience reaction escalated as the screening went on. “I mean, first of all, it was the funnest Wednesday night I have ever had in my life,” Robbie said, noting that the group was already a few drinks in when the film began.
According to the actor, the response intensified when Elordi appeared onscreen. “When Jacob came on screen, I think it registered on the Richter scale,” she said.
Robbie also addressed the romantic content directly, confirming, “Yeah, we kiss a lot. We kiss everywhere. A lot of kissing.”
Following the interview, fans shared reactions online, with several posts highlighting Robbie’s remarks and expressing anticipation for the film’s release. Wuthering Heights marks Robbie’s latest project as both actor and producer, continuing her collaboration with Fennell after previous work together.
