Halle Berry expands slate with The President Is Missing and Bad Cop, Bad Cop
Halle Berry is expanding her film and television slate through her production company HalleHolly, with multiple high-profile projects now in development across major studios and streaming platforms.
The Oscar-winning actress is set to star in several upcoming films and television series, marking one of the most ambitious phases of her career.
Among the flagship projects is The President Is Missing, a feature film adaptation of the bestselling political thriller novel by Bill Clinton and James Patterson. The project is in development at Apple Original Films, with Berry starring as President Joanna Duncan in a gender-swapped lead role. The film is being produced by HalleHolly alongside RK Films and James Patterson Entertainment.
Berry is also attached to star in the action-comedy Bad Cop, Bad Cop, directed by Kay Cannon. The film will feature Berry alongside Fortune Feimster and Jillian Bell and is being produced by HalleHolly and Beau Bauman’s A Good One Productions.
On the television side, Berry is developing multiple series across major networks and streamers. These include Zero F**s*, a menopause-themed comedy in development at Peacock, and The Patient, a psychological horror drama series at HBO. A revenge drama titled Mother Doom is also in development at FX, with Berry potentially attached to star.
Additional film projects under the HalleHolly banner include Sunburn, Family Swap, and Parole Officer, all of which feature Berry in leading roles. The company is also producing an adaptation of Cathy Byrd’s memoir The Boy Who Knew Too Much.
Founded in 2022 by Berry and former WME partner Holly Jeter, HalleHolly was launched to develop film and television projects centered on complex characters, representation, and socially driven storytelling. With multiple projects now moving forward across Apple, HBO, Peacock, FX, and major studios, Berry’s growing slate positions her as one of the most active creative forces in Hollywood’s current production landscape.
