NBC has addressed recent speculation surrounding the future of The Kelly Clarkson Show, confirming that the popular daytime talk show is not facing cancellation.
A representative for the series told Entertainment Weekly on Monday that online rumors claiming the show was ending were false.
According to the spokesperson, any official updates regarding the program would be communicated directly by NBC, emphasizing that the show remains in production. The representative added that The Kelly Clarkson Show is currently in the middle of its seventh season, which premiered in September 2025.
Season 7 launched with a “Kellyoke” performance of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” and introduced new recurring segments designed to spotlight inspiring stories. Among the additions are “Life Well Lit,” which highlights individuals making a positive impact in their communities, and “Celebs With Skills,” a segment focused on showcasing unexpected talents.
Executive producer Alex Duda previously explained that the new season reflects the show’s ongoing commitment to uplifting content. He noted that the series aims to “find the helpers” during difficult times, echoing a message that has been central to the program since its debut.
The Kelly Clarkson Show first premiered in 2019 and has consistently performed well in daytime television ratings. During the 2024–2025 season, the show averaged approximately 2.3 million viewers, a performance that contributed to its renewal by NBC. Network executives have repeatedly praised host Kelly Clarkson for her ability to connect with audiences across generations.
NBCUniversal executives have described Clarkson as a key figure in the network’s daytime lineup, citing the show’s strong viewership, engaging format, and high production value. While Clarkson briefly stepped away from the series in 2025 due to personal circumstances, the show’s popularity and stability have remained intact.
At this time, NBC has confirmed there are no plans to end The Kelly Clarkson Show, dispelling recent cancellation rumors.
