Victoria Beckham says family is her everything as the Beckhams step out for first time since Brooklyn rift
"Thank you also to business partners who believed in me, my family, and especially David," she said in speech

The Beckham family made a rare public appearance together on Monday night, 26 January, marking the first time they were seen together since Brooklyn Beckham addressed the family rift in an explosive statement last week.
The event in Paris celebrated Victoria Beckham, who was awarded a Chevalière de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres — a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters — in recognition of her significant contributions to the arts and literature. The 51-year-old fashion designer received the honor during a ceremony hosted by the French Ministry of Culture in the French capital.
In his Instagram post last week, 26-year-old budding chef Brooklyn accused his parents of being controlling and interfering in his personal life. He claimed Victoria “hijacked my first dance with my wife” on their wedding day and said he has no wish to reconcile with his family amid their ongoing estrangement.
Despite the family tension, Victoria shared her excitement and gratitude on social media, posting a heartfelt message about the recognition and her family. She wrote:
"I'm so honoured to be named a Chevalière de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture. I have always deeply admired the French aesthetic and the seriousness with which it treats fashion: as a form of art. So to be recognised here and embraced in this way, is a profound privilege — one that reflects decades of commitment and dedication. My sincere thanks to the French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, for this honour."
She also praised her family and husband of 26 years, David Beckham: "Thank you also to business partners who believed in me, my family, and especially David — my husband, and original investor. I couldn't be more grateful, you are my everything xx."
David shared his pride for Victoria in an Instagram post, writing: "We are so proud of you and all that you have achieved @victoriabeckham. Being named a Chevalière de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture… nobody deserves it more than you x We love you."
Other family members present included Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel and Romeo Beckham’s partner Kim Turnbull, with Romeo echoing his father’s sentiments on Instagram the following morning: "No one deserves this more than you xx love you mum."
