The family of popular YouTube creator Adam the Woo has disclosed the official cause of his death, bringing clarity to the circumstances surrounding his sudden passing nearly five weeks after he was found unresponsive in his Florida home.

David Adam Williams — better known online as Adam the Woo — died on December 22, 2025, at the age of 51 in his home in Celebration, Florida. In a statement on January 26, 2026, his father, Jim Williams, confirmed that an autopsy and medical examiner’s report revealed the cause of death as atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease, which triggered a heart attack while he slept. His death has been officially ruled as natural causes.

In his statement, Williams expressed gratitude that his son died peacefully at home and was found by friends rather than strangers, offering some comfort to family and fans during a difficult time.

Medical findings indicated that plaque buildup in Adam’s arteries and long-term high blood pressure were major factors leading to the heart attack. Obesity was also noted as a contributing condition in the official report by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s office, which documented significant artery narrowing and other cardiovascular issues.

Adam first gained prominence on YouTube after launching his channel Adam the Woo in 2009, where he documented explorations of abandoned sites, film locations, and local attractions. In 2012, he created a second channel, The Daily Woo, focused on daily travel vlogs that took viewers across all 50 U.S. states. Over the years, he built a passionate global following of more than 1.2 million subscribers who tuned in for his upbeat personality and travel adventures.

His final video, posted December 21, 2025, featured festive holiday decorations in his Celebration neighborhood — a poignant farewell to his audience.

Tributes from fellow creators and fans have continued to pour in, celebrating Williams’ legacy as a pioneering figure in travel and theme park vlogging and remembering him for his curiosity, generosity, and joyful spirit.
