Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are opening up about the intense bond they formed while filming Wuthering Heights, with both actors offering candid insight into their close working relationship on set.

Robbie, who stars as Catherine Earnshaw, admitted she quickly became accustomed to having Elordi nearby during production. “I remember the first couple days on set, he would always be in the vicinity where I was,” she said. When that changed, she recalled feeling unsettled. “I felt quite unnerved and unmoored. I felt quite lost — like a kid without their blanket or something.”

Elordi, who portrays Heathcliff, echoed the sentiment and described their dynamic in equally striking terms. “We have a mutual obsession,” he said, explaining that he made a point of staying close while they were filming together. “If you have the opportunity to share a film set with Margot Robbie, you’re going to make sure you’re within five to ten metres at all times.”

Robbie also shared details of a memorable Valentine’s Day moment during the shoot, revealing that Elordi went all out for the occasion. She said he filled her room with roses, a gesture she described as “so cute” and “very thoughtful.” She added that it wasn’t just the flowers that stood out. “It was the thing written from Heathcliff, and that little tombstone thing — it was very crafty,” she said, laughing at the dramatic flair.

As anticipation builds ahead of the film’s release, the actors’ remarks have fueled excitement around their on-screen chemistry. Despite the attention surrounding their close connection, both have emphasized the professional nature of their relationship.

Robbie, who also produced the film through LuckyChap Entertainment, is married to producer Tom Ackerley and recently welcomed her first child.

Wuthering Heights is set for release on February 13, and is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about literary adaptations of the year.
