Cashel Barnett has pleaded guilty to multiple criminal charges stemming from a domestic violence case in Utah, marking a major development in the legal troubles facing the former Love Island USA star.

Barnett, who also appeared on The Challenge: USA, was originally charged with several felony and misdemeanor offenses connected to an alleged altercation involving the mother of his child. Prosecutors accused him of physically assaulting the woman during an argument that reportedly occurred in the presence of their child.

As part of a plea agreement, Barnett admitted guilt to third-degree felony aggravated assault and third-degree felony domestic violence committed in the presence of a child. In exchange, other charges were dropped.

Court records indicate that Barnett had been facing a more extensive list of allegations prior to the plea deal, including additional assault-related counts. The case drew significant attention due to the seriousness of the accusations and Barnett’s reality television background.

The incident allegedly involved physical violence that caused injury and distress, prompting authorities to take the case forward. Barnett was taken into custody following his arrest and remained detained as the legal process unfolded.

Sentencing has been scheduled for a later date, with prosecutors expected to seek jail time followed by probation. The final decision will rest with the judge at the upcoming hearing.

Barnett has not made a public statement since entering the guilty plea. The case remains ongoing as the court prepares to determine his sentence.
