The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a rally from Peshawar to Mardan for Saturday as part of its ongoing street movement, with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi set to lead the procession.
According to sources within the party, the rally will begin on GT Road from Jhagra Stop in Peshawar and proceed towards Mardan. PTI’s provincial president Junaid Akbar Khan, provincial ministers, members of the provincial assembly, and other senior party leaders will accompany the chief minister.
The rally is scheduled to start at 11:10am from Taru Jabba, reach Pabbi at 11:45am, and arrive near the Nowshera–Mardan bridge at 12:30pm, where CM Afridi will be received and address party workers. He will then proceed to Rashakai at 1:15pm, where he will deliver another address and bid farewell to Nowshera workers.
PTI has designated several reception points along the route, including Taru Jabba Stop, Pabbi, Nowshera Cantt, and Ajab Bagh. Upon entering Mardan district, reception camps will be set up at Bab-e-Mardan, Sheikh Maltoon, College Chowk, Kacheri Chowk, and Pakistan Chowk, where the CM will address the public.
Sources said comprehensive preparations have been made for the street movement. Party leaders and ticket-holders have been instructed to mobilise maximum workers and arrange transportation, with each ticket-holder directed to bring at least 200 workers.
MNA Atif Khan and other elected representatives from Mardan will also join the rally alongside CM Afridi.
