The Hunger Games and Don’t Look Up star shared the story on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, highlighting a Golden Globes hosting stint by Poehler and Tina Fey that left her laughing.
Reflecting on that night, Lawrence said, “You and Tina, you guys hosted a Golden Globes that I was at, and you were the funniest people I’ve ever seen in my life. You made me proud to be a woman.”
During the chat, Poehler asked if the moment Lawrence was referencing was when they joked the original title of American Hustle was “Explosion at the Wig Factory,” a bit that clearly stuck with the actress.
Lawrence also spoke about her favourite TV comedies, praising shows like Veep and Modern Family, and joked about her dream to appear on a reality show someday, quipping, “I guess The Kardashians, cause then I’d be on a private plane going to, like, Fiji.”
Beyond the laughs, her candid remarks highlighted not only her appreciation for funny women in entertainment but also her down‑to-earth personality and sincere admiration for the joy they bring to audiences.
