Original songs from the hit HBO Max series Heated Rivalry have debuted on major Billboard music charts, underscoring the show’s cultural impact beyond television as fans embrace its soundtrack following the season’s conclusion.
Two lead tracks from the show’s official soundtrack — “Rivalry” and “It’s You,” both performed, written and produced by Canadian musician Peter Peter — have entered Billboard’s Dance Digital Song Sales and Digital Song Sales charts dated January 24.
“Rivalry” opened at No. 3 on the dance chart, while “It’s You,” the only vocal track on the album, debuted at No. 19 on the overall digital sales chart.
The songs were released as a double single on January 9, ahead of the full 34‑track soundtrack album that dropped digitally on January 16 through Milan Records, and they mark Peter Peter’s first entries on Billboard charts — a notable achievement for the musician.
Fans flooded social media with praise after Billboard highlighted the soundtrack’s success, with comments celebrating both the music and the series itself as Heated Rivalry continues to resonate with audiences.
The series, which premiered on November 28 and follows the intense romance between hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, has already been renewed for a second season, making its crossover into the music world yet another sign of its growing influence.
