An American social media influencer has been kidnapped in broad daylight in Mexico, with the frightening incident caught on camera.
Nicole Pardo Molina, 20, who is known online as “La Nicholette,” was abducted outside a shopping plaza in Culiacán, Sinaloa, after three armed men ambushed her while she was driving her distinctive lilac Tesla Cybertruck.
Video footage from the vehicle shows the attackers pulling up alongside her before forcing her into a white sedan and fleeing the scene.
The footage captures Molina attempting to resist, briefly trying to shut the attackers’ car door and return to her own vehicle before being overpowered and shoved into the back seat. The car then sped away as bystanders looked on.
Molina, who was born and raised in the United States, has built a large following across social media platforms, where she shares glimpses of her lifestyle and business ventures. Her parents reportedly live in Phoenix, Arizona, and she frequently traveled between the US and Mexico.
She also owned a small business in the same plaza where the kidnapping occurred.
The influencer became widely known in Mexico after commissioning a personalized corrido, a traditional narrative ballad, which helped elevate her public profile. She was also recognized locally for driving the lilac Cybertruck, which made her easily identifiable.
While online speculation has circulated about possible criminal connections due to the region she lived in, authorities have not confirmed any links between Molina and organized crime. Investigators have not released details about possible motives or suspects.
Mexican authorities have launched an official search and activated protocols used in cases involving missing women. The kidnapping has intensified concerns about growing violence against public figures and influencers in parts of the country.
As of now, Molina’s whereabouts remain unknown, and the investigation remains ongoing.
