Prime Video has announced that its upcoming original comedy series Bait, starring Riz Ahmed, will premiere globally on March 25, 2026.
The six-episode series follows Ahmed as Shah Latif, a struggling actor whose audition of a lifetime triggers four chaotic days that spiral out of control.
Ahmed, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Ben Karlin (The Daily Show), leads a talented ensemble cast including Guz Khan (Man Like Mobeen), Sheeba Chaddha (Badhaai Do), Sajid Hasan (Dhoop Kinare), Aasiya Shah (Raised By Wolves), Weruche Opia (I May Destroy You), and Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy). The series is produced by Left Handed Films, Jax Media, and Amazon MGM Studios.
Bait combines sharp comedy with a fast-paced storyline, showing Shah Latif navigating pressures from his family, ex-lover, and the public as he attempts to prove he’s the right choice for a career-defining role. Early first-look photos released by Prime Video showcase the humor, chaos, and emotional stakes at the heart of the series.
All six episodes of Bait will be available to stream simultaneously in over 240 countries and territories with a Prime Video subscription, included in Amazon Prime membership. Prime members can also enjoy other popular originals like The Boys, Jury Duty, and Hazbin Hotel, alongside thousands of movies, documentaries, and live sports events through the Prime Video app.
With Ahmed at the helm both in front of and behind the camera, Bait promises a fresh comedic voice and insight into the struggles of an actor chasing success in today’s entertainment landscape.
