Oscars Glambot filmmaker Cole Walliser sparks online outrage over emails

Cole Walliser, the filmmaker behind the viral Oscars Glambot, is facing online scrutiny after alleged 2019 emails and messages resurfaced. 

These exchanges have sparked accusations of unprofessional conduct.

Walliser, who rose to prominence for his high-speed red carpet videos featuring Hollywood’s biggest stars, allegedly sent dismissive responses to potential clients who inquired about booking the Glambot for private events, including a wedding. Screenshots of the exchanges were shared on Reddit, though their authenticity has not been independently verified. Walliser has been contacted for comment.

According to the screenshots, a woman identified as Yinka Animashaun reached out to Walliser to inquire about availability and pricing. In the alleged responses, Walliser emphasized that the Glambot is typically used at major awards shows and suggested that the service would be extremely costly. One message claimed the total price could range anywhere from $10,000 to $1 million, while another allegedly quoted a $300,000 fee with a deposit required to proceed.

When Animashaun indicated she would follow up, one response attributed to Walliser accused her of pretending she intended to book the service. The tone of the exchange sparked backlash from Reddit users, many of whom labeled the messages “condescending” and “unprofessional,” questioning why pricing information was not provided upfront.

A separate alleged 2019 Instagram exchange also circulated, in which Walliser reportedly responded to a wedding inquiry by stating that the Glambot appears only at major awards shows, punctuating the message with money bag emojis. Reactions to this exchange were mixed, with some users defending the response as transparent rather than rude.

The controversy follows Walliser’s recent defense of Jennifer Lopez after footage from her Golden Globes Glambot moment went viral. Walliser stated publicly that Lopez’s behavior did not feel disrespectful, distancing himself from claims of rudeness.
