IShowSpeed made to leave Algerian cup match after objects thrown from stands

Streamer IShowSpeed exited Algerian cup match after fans threw objects while he toured the pitch

Streamer IShowSpeed was forced to leave an Algerian cup football match after spectators in the stands began throwing objects in his direction, according to footage from his livestream.

The incident occurred while the online personality was attending the match as part of his ongoing Africa tour. Before kick-off, IShowSpeed was walking around the pitch when items were thrown from the crowd, prompting concerns from stadium staff and his security team.

After multiple objects were directed towards him, security advised the streamer to move back towards the players’ tunnel entrance.

Stadium staff suggested the reaction may have been linked to his clothing choice, as he was wearing the Algeria national team shirt rather than a shirt representing one of the clubs involved in the match. Acting on that advice, IShowSpeed attempted to relocate to another section of the stadium.

However, the situation did not improve. Objects continued to be thrown, and a member of stadium staff told him that spectators did not like being filmed, despite recognising who he was. IShowSpeed disagreed with that explanation, responding that throwing water at someone was not a sign of support.

As he moved further inside the stadium, including towards a private box overlooking the lower stands, members of the crowd continued to throw items, including bottles filled with liquid, at him and his team. His security then instructed him to leave the venue entirely.

Addressing viewers during the stream, IShowSpeed said he did not want the incident to overshadow the rest of his experience in Algeria.

He stated that fans throughout the country had shown him support, adding that he was unsure why the reaction at the stadium escalated in that way.
