PHC virtual bench begins hearings in Swabi
The Virtual Bench of the Peshawar High Court has formally commenced regular hearings in Tehsil Lahore, marking a significant and historic development for local residents and the legal fraternity. The initiative is being hailed as a major step toward improving access to justice in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the Tehsil level, where senior members of the bar, Advocate Jawad Haider and Advocate Saeed Khan Yousafzai, presented arguments in the first case heard by the Virtual High Court, thereby formally launching judicial proceedings. A large number of lawyers attended the event, including Vice President Lahore Bar Aqil Muhammad Khan and Finance Secretary Kausar Niazi, reflecting strong support from the legal community.
Addressing the gathering, President Lahore Bar Tanveer Shahzad Advocate termed the day a milestone for both the people of Tehsil Lahore and the bar association. He said the establishment of the Virtual High Court was an effective step toward ensuring swift and affordable justice.
He added that the system would not only facilitate the public by reducing travel and costs but would also provide greater ease and efficiency for lawyers in han-dling judicial matters.
