Amanda Seyfried is looking back on a memorable, and unexpected, moment from the set of her 2010 film Dear John, which she starred in alongside Channing Tatum.

During a recent interview with Deadline, the 40-year-old actress was asked to recall one of her favorite behind-the-scenes memories from her career. While she admitted it may not be her favorite, Seyfried said the story perfectly captures the playful dynamic she shared with Tatum while filming the romantic drama.

“He and I messed with each other throughout the entire movie in a super, super fun way,” Seyfried said. “He’s very, very funny, and we had a great time.”

She then revealed a particularly bizarre incident that took place during a beach scene. According to Seyfried, Tatum once urinated on her leg without her realizing it at first.

“He peed on my leg on the beach and I didn’t realize at first,” she recalled, adding that she only understood what was happening when she noticed how close he was standing.

Seyfried went on to say that some of the urine ended up in a nearby coffee cup. “There was a coffee cup very close by, and a little bit got in the coffee cup, and he ran away as I was screaming,” she said, laughing.

She added that she managed to stop a makeup artist from accidentally drinking from the cup.

In Dear John, based on Nicholas Sparks’ 2006 novel, Seyfried played Savannah Lynn Curtis opposite Tatum’s John Tyree.

The film went on to become a box-office hit and remains one of the pair’s most talked-about collaborations.
