The results of the intermediate supplementary examinations will be announced on January 12, 2027.

The complete revised schedule circular has been dispatched to all government and private schools, district education authorities, and private school associations.

Punjab moves towards unified school calendar

Acting on directives issued by Justice Jawad Hassan of the Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi Bench, the Secretary for School Education has convened a high-level 21-member Education Committee on January 20 to finalise a unified annual academic calendar for all public and private schools across Punjab.

The committee comprises the Secretary School Education (convener), an Assistant Advocate General, officials from the Establishment Department, senior education officers, heads of leading private school networks, and presidents of private school associations.

The panel will review proposals regarding the number of teaching days, reduction of extended breaks, and the scheduling of summer and winter vacations, Eid holidays, and national and religious observances.

A consolidated academic calendar and holiday chart will be submitted to the Punjab Cabinet for approval before implementation.

President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association, Abrar Ahmed Khan, confirmed that the High Court had earlier ordered the formation of a unified calendar to prevent excessive extensions in summer and winter holidays and to ensure the timely completion of matriculation and intermediate syllabi.
