Drake allegedly contacted XXXTentacion mother following rapper death

Interview claims Drake reached out to Cleopatra Bernard after XXXTentacion passing

Drake is said to have contacted the mother of late rapper XXXTentacion after his passing, according to claims discussed in a recent interview.

The allegation surfaced during a conversation between DJ Akademiks and Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif. In a clip shared online, Cherif stated that XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, told him that Drake reached out to her after the rapper’s death. Cherif described the interaction as coming from a place of “love,” though he speculated that Bernard may have been skeptical of Drake’s intentions. He emphasized that this was his own interpretation and not a confirmed fact.

The revelation appeared to surprise DJ Akademiks, who noted that such an exchange had not been publicly discussed before. Cherif also suggested that the story could potentially draw renewed scrutiny toward Drake due to his complicated history with XXXTentacion.

Drake and XXXTentacion were linked to a highly publicized dispute while the Florida rapper was still alive. In 2017, XXXTentacion accused the Toronto artist of copying his flow on Drake’s song “KMT” from the More Life project, alleging similarities to his breakout track “Look At Me!” The accusation sparked widespread online debate and contributed to ongoing tension between the two artists.

Although XXXTentacion acknowledged Drake’s talent, the disagreement remained unresolved before his death, and some of XXXTentacion’s close collaborators have continued to distance themselves from Drake.

As of now, Cleopatra Bernard has not publicly confirmed or denied Cherif’s account.
