French Montana reveals how he met Dubai princess Sheikha Mahra amid engagement
French Montana has spoken publicly about how he first met Dubai princess Sheikha Mahra, offering personal insight during a recent appearance on the Joe and Jada podcast alongside Fat Joe, Jadakiss and newly released rapper Max B.
During the conversation, Montana reflected on being in Dubai when he first noticed Mahra following her highly publicised divorce announcement on social media. “I just happened to be in Dubai, and I remember I had seen her. She had put up that post where she divorced somebody. I’m like, I like her. Cause it take a lot of guts to throw that up. So when she threw that up, I’m like I like her,” he said.
The episode marked a significant reunion, with Joe and Jadakiss welcoming Max B home after his 16-year prison sentence.
Max B spoke candidly about coping with life behind bars and shared stories about fellow inmates rapping for him during his time inside. The discussion also touched on key moments from his career, including the creation of “All The Way Up” and later hits such as “Unforgettable” and “Figure It Out”.
Joe noted during the podcast that Mahra attended Max B’s welcome-home celebrations, prompting Max to respond, “She down to earth. That's sis.” Montana echoed the sentiment, adding, “Yeah. She down to earth.”
Sheikha Mahra is the daughter of UAE Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and is known for her philanthropic work and interest in equestrian pursuits. She previously studied International Relations in London and is also recognised for her public presence and charitable initiatives.
The couple’s relationship has drawn attention since they were seen together regularly from 2024 onwards, including appearances in Dubai, Morocco and Paris. Their engagement followed Mahra’s divorce from Sheikh Mana, which she publicly announced in July 2024.
The podcast episode also highlighted Max B’s return to music following his release, with the rapper confirming plans to resume recording and touring after reuniting with Montana.
