Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) convened an important meeting at a park adjacent to its Bahadurabad headquarters as part of its "Karachi Bachao" (Save Karachi) campaign. The session was attended by senior leaders including Syed Aminul Haque, COC in-charge Furqan Atif, town and UC representatives, central office bearers, and a large number of MQM-P lawmakers from the National and Sindh assemblies.
Party convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, addressing the gathering, said that "all statistics prove Pakistan cannot be weakened without first destroying Karachi." He noted that the burden of one hundred thousand signatures collected under MQM-P's campaign was already challenging the country's justice system.
Senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar said Karachi's current state had forced even the ruling elite to realize that saving Pakistan required saving Karachi first. Central leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said Karachi's situation was no longer hidden, and public attention was once again focused on MQM-P.
