A new trailer for One Piece Season 2 confirms that the Straw Hat Pirates are set to face one of their most dangerous threats yet with the arrival of the Baroque Works organisation in Netflix’s live-action adaptation.

Released on January 12, the trailer focuses on the secretive criminal syndicate that Monkey D. Luffy, played by Iñaki Godoy, and his crew will encounter in the upcoming season. Baroque Works is portrayed as a coordinated network of assassins whose methods rely as much on strategy as spectacle, signalling a shift in scale and danger for the series.

Several key characters are introduced through brief but striking moments. Charithra Chandran appears as Miss Wednesday, while Lera Abova is shown as Miss All-Sunday. The ensemble of antagonists also includes David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, and Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek. Each is presented with distinct abilities that hint at the creative challenges awaiting the Straw Hat crew.

Joe Manganiello has been cast as Mr. 0, the leader of Baroque Works also known as Sir Crocodile, though his character is deliberately kept out of view in the trailer. His absence adds to the sense of anticipation surrounding the group’s hierarchy and long-term threat.

The footage highlights the organisation’s unusual weapons and techniques, including hypnotic paint, precise assassinations, and elaborate disguises, reinforcing the heightened tone of Season 2. Stylish costuming and controlled choreography suggest that the live-action series is continuing to expand its visual identity while remaining rooted in the original story’s eccentricity.

Season 2 positions Baroque Works as a defining obstacle for the Straw Hat Pirates, setting the stage for a larger and more complex conflict as the adaptation continues.

One Piece Season 2 premieres March 10 on Netflix.
