Danielle speaks publicly following exit from NewJeans

Former NewJeans member Danielle addresses fans during livestream

Former NewJeans member Danielle Marsh has spoken publicly for the first time since her departure from the group, stating that she made every effort to remain with the members until the end. Her comments were delivered during a livestream on Monday addressed directly to NewJeans’ official fan community, known as Bunnies.

Danielle used YouTube and Instagram Live to share her perspective following Ador’s announcement that her exclusive contract with the agency had been terminated. During the broadcast, she emphasized that her commitment to the group never wavered, despite the outcome of the dispute.

“I fought until the very end to be together with the members,” Danielle said, adding that although circumstances have changed, her feelings toward the group remain unchanged.

Her remarks followed a statement issued by Ador last month, in which the agency said it had determined continuing to work with Danielle would be difficult amid an ongoing contract conflict. Ador also disclosed that members Haerin, Hyein and Hanni had agreed to return to the agency, while discussions were ongoing with Minji. A court ruling had previously ordered all five members to comply with their exclusive contracts through 2029.

Subsequently, Ador confirmed Danielle’s departure from NewJeans and filed a lawsuit against her seeking 43.1 billion won (approximately $31 million) in damages and penalties.

During the livestream, Danielle avoided addressing specific legal issues, explaining that several matters remain unresolved. Her legal representatives had stated in advance that the broadcast was not connected to any ongoing legal proceedings.

Danielle also expressed gratitude to fans for their continued support, saying she regularly reads messages sent by supporters and finds comfort in them. Reflecting on her time with NewJeans, she spoke about memorable moments on stage, including the silence before performances, which she said continue to give her strength.

Although she appeared emotional at times, the 20-year-old said she has no regrets and does not consider her departure a final chapter. “This is not the end,” she told viewers.

The livestream marked Danielle’s first direct communication with fans since leaving NewJeans and has drawn significant attention from supporters seeking insight into her situation amid the ongoing legal dispute.
