Snoop Dogg censored during Golden Globes broadcast while presenting new podcast award

Snoop Dogg was briefly censored during the live broadcast of the 2026 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night while presenting the ceremony’s inaugural Best Podcast award.
The rapper took the stage midway through the show, making his entrance to his song “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” before pausing the music and addressing the audience. He encouraged attendees to relax and enjoy the ceremony, telling the crowd to “loosen up” and not take the night too seriously.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Snoop Dogg also made an off-air remark that was censored during the live broadcast but audible inside the room, saying, “I’m high as a motherf----- right now. Y’all had me here too damn long!”

While introducing the new podcast category, Snoop Dogg joked about the importance of the medium and praised the inclusion of podcasters in the awards lineup. He then announced Good Hang with Amy Poehler as the first winner of the Best Podcast award.
Poehler accepted the award with thanks, noting the uniqueness of receiving the honor from Snoop Dogg.
Snoop Dogg was not the only participant to be censored during the broadcast. Later in the ceremony, Best Supporting Actress winner Teyana Taylor was also briefly muted after using profanity during her acceptance speech.
The 2026 Golden Globe Awards were hosted by Nikki Glaser and held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
