Funds released for special children
Punjab Police released Rs720,000 for the welfare of children of its employees suffering from cerebral palsy.
According to a spokesperson, 24 children received assistance of Rs30,000 each. The monthly stipend for each child has been doubled to Rs20,000. The spokesperson said that during the previous year, Rs76.56 million had bren disbursed for special children of police employees, and over the past three years, a cumulative amount exceeding Rs166 million had been provided.
G Punjab Dr Usman Anwar emphasized that all available resources are being utilised for the treatment, rehabilitation, and improved quality of life of special children, while the police continue their round-the-clock service to citizens.
