Acting Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sabir Hussain Awan, on Sunday said the party would not rest until the people of Peshawar are given their due rights and the alleged corruption of the "corrupt government" is exposed before the public.

He was addressing participants of a protest demonstration organised by the "Haq Do Peshawar" movement un-der NA-28 at Charpriza Chowk. Awan alleged that Rs8,404 billion had been received from the federal govern-ment but was not spent on public welfare, adding that the party would seek a complete account of the funds.
