Kelly Clarkson has shared a rare and heartfelt update on how her children are doing following the death of their father, Brandon Blackstock. The singer and talk show host opened up about family life months after the loss, offering a touching glimpse into how she and her kids are navigating grief together.

During a recent Q&A, Clarkson spoke candidly about what brings her the most comfort right now, explaining that spending quiet, close time with her children has been especially meaningful.

“Snuggle,” she said simply, before adding, “My kids, they’re 9 and 11. Kind of that special little fun stage where they can wipe their own behinds, but they’re still small enough to, like, love cuddling and love snuggles.”

Clarkson, who shares daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remington “Remy,” 9, with Blackstock, revealed that the family has grown even closer in recent months.

“There’s been a lot for our family recently, and so I have allowed my kids to sleep with me quite a bit,” she shared. With humor and honesty, she added, “It’s my two dogs, my two kids and me. It’s a lot,” before noting how special those moments have become.

The singer also emphasised how these quiet times together have opened the door for meaningful conversations.

“The conversations you have during that time are pretty cute,” Clarkson said. “So that’s probably my favorite time of day.” Her comments highlight how everyday routines have become a source of comfort and healing for the family.

Brandon Blackstock passed away in August 2025 at the age of 48 after a private battle with melanoma. While Clarkson has largely kept her family’s grieving process out of the public eye, her recent remarks offer insight into how she is prioritizing love, closeness, and emotional support for her children during a profoundly difficult time.
