Kristy and Desmond Scott divorce after 12 years of marriage amid cheating allegations

Influencer Kristy Scott has filed for divorce from her husband, Desmond Scott, after more than a decade of marriage.

Court documents show that Kristy filed for divorce on December 30, bringing an end to the couple’s 12-year relationship. The pair married in 2014 after four years of dating and share two sons, Vance and Westin. Reports citing court records state that alleged infidelity was referenced as the reason for the separation.

Desmond addressed the split publicly in an Instagram Stories post shared on Saturday, January 10. “I want to begin by apologizing to Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation,” he wrote. “I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I'm truly sorry for the hurt it has caused.”

He went on to stress his commitment to his children, saying, “Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I remain fully committed to being an active, present, and loving parent to our boys, as have always been.”

Desmond acknowledged difficulties within the marriage, explaining that he and Kristy “faced challenges and made sincere efforts to work through them.” He added that after expressing a desire to separate towards the end of 2025, he later “made choices that I am not proud of.”

“I took responsibility for those actions, I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce,” he said. “I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter of our lives.”

Both Kristy and Desmond have substantial online followings and are known for sharing aspects of their family life on social media. Kristy has 16.9 million followers on TikTok and 9.5 million on Instagram, while Desmond is followed by 1.5 million on TikTok and 1.8 million on Instagram.

In 2024, the couple marked 10 years of marriage with a large celebration and described themselves at the time as best friends who focused on laughter and enjoying everyday life.
