The final episode brought closure to the storylines that have defined the show since its debut, with Matarazzo’s character, Dustin Henderson, playing a key emotional role in the series’ final moments.
With the series' end, Matarazzo is moving forward with new projects. He is set to star in an untitled Hulu college comedy, in which he will also serve as an executive producer. Directed and written by Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher, the film follows two college students, played by Matarazzo and Sean Giambrone, whose routine attempt to collect a pizza spirals into an absurd and transformative journey after a bad drug trip.
