Sophie Turner, best known for her breakout role in Game of Thrones, is at the center of a high-stakes crime thriller in the newly released trailer for Steal, an upcoming Prime Video series that turns an ordinary workday into a nerve-racking heist. Steal is set to premiere on Prime Video on January 21, 2026, with all six episodes available at launch.

In the official teaser, Turner plays Zara, a typical office worker at a pension fund investment company called Lochmill Capital whose routine day quickly spirals into chaos when a gang of armed thieves storms the workplace.

The series is described as a high-octane thriller centered on “the heist of the century,” placing Zara and her colleague Luke at the heart of a violent and calculated invasion.

The trailer opens on a seemingly normal morning, with Zara joking with a friend about the “trick of the job,” before the tone abruptly shifts as masked attackers break in and force employees to comply with dangerous demands.

What initially appears to be a straightforward robbery soon reveals deeper questions about who is behind the operation and why billions from ordinary people’s pensions are being targeted.

Turner stars opposite Archie Madekwe as Luke, Zara’s best friend and coworker, whose reactions to the unfolding crisis add emotional weight to the escalating tension. The investigation into the crime is led by Detective Chief Inspector Rhys, played by Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, a character balancing the pressures of the case with personal challenges of his own.

The series was created and written by Sotiris Nikias and directed by Sam Miller and Hettie Macdonald. Steal is produced by Amazon MGM Studios in association with Drama Republic, with Greg Brenman and Rebecca de Souza serving as executive producers.

With its mix of suspense, character-driven drama and explosive action, Steal is shaping up to be one of Prime Video’s most anticipated thrillers of early 2026, spotlighting Turner in a tense, grounded role far removed from her fantasy roots.
