6ix9ine turns himself in to begin three-month jail term in Brooklyn

6ix9ine has surrendered to authorities in Brooklyn to begin serving a three-month jail sentence for violating the terms of his supervised release.

The rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, turned himself in on Tuesday, arriving at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Sunset Park at approximately 2 pm The surrender had been prearranged, marking the start of a 90-day custodial sentence linked to probation violations stemming from his earlier federal case.

Prior to entering custody, 6ix9ine appeared in a nearly two-hour live stream alongside online personality Adin Ross. The broadcast showed the rapper surrounded by friends as he prepared to report to the detention centre. During the stream, content creator Stephen Deleonardis was seen removing 6ix9ine’s ankle monitor. The group travelled to the facility in a limousine, where music played before the tone shifted on arrival.
