Sanaullah urges PTI to drop 'hostile approach'

ISLAMABAD:

Prime Minister's Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday urged the PTI to abandon its "hostile stance" towards the state, warning that continued confrontation could undermine party founder Imran Khan's political influence, destabilise the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and erode his public support.

Speaking to a private TV channel, Sanaullah said that as a political leader in a democratic system, he felt compelled to advise Imran Khan to move away from what he described as a 13–15-year pattern of confrontation and instead engage in dialogue.

He cautioned that persisting with a hostile approach posed risks to the stability of the K-P government and could further damage Khan's popularity.

Terming the confrontational attitude undemocratic, Sanaullah said repeated clashes with the state invited political danger, weakened public trust and harmed governance. He stressed that democratic leadership required compromise and engagement, not perpetual confrontation that jeopardised political standing.
