A brief public interaction between Timothée Chalamet and superfan Club Chalamet has sparked online debate and renewed concerns for Kylie Jenner’s safety.

The moment, captured on video at the Palm Springs Film Festival gala, shows Club Chalamet giving Chalamet a short hug while wishing him a happy birthday.

Club Chalamet described the encounter on X, writing, “Ok, so I gave Timothée a hug and said Happy Birthday here at the Palm Springs Film Festival gala.

I told Brian that this is Timothée’s year, and he said he hopes so.” The clip circulated widely, with some viewers expressing discomfort after noticing Kylie Jenner nearby.

The video triggered a wave of fan backlash. Users on social media questioned the boundaries of fan behaviour and the level of security at public events.

One user commented, “Someone get her a restraining order before she pulls a John Lennon.” Others suggested that the interaction was unwelcome, despite Club Chalamet presenting it as a positive moment.

Club Chalamet, a longstanding fan campaign run by Simone Cromer, a 59-year-old social media personality from Los Angeles, is known for her extensive involvement in Chalamet’s online fandom.

Cromer has previously shared news, opinions, and reactions about Chalamet’s career and personal life, including commentary on his relationship with Kylie Jenner.

While some critics have labelled her a stalker, Cromer allegedly maintains her admiration is non-romantic and akin to a supportive family connection.

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, linked since 2023, have gradually appeared more publicly together, attracting attention due to their high-profile celebrity worlds.

Fans continue to follow their appearances closely, and the recent incident has intensified discussions about fan boundaries and the couple’s safety at public events.
