A$AP Rocky’s 'Don’t Be Dumb' reaches 500,000 Spotify pre-saves ahead of release
At the time of reporting, the album ranked as the fourth most pre-saved project on Spotify

A$AP Rocky’s upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb is showing strong momentum ahead of its release, with the project approaching 500,000 pre-saves on Spotify alone.
The Harlem rapper is set to release a new single, “Punk Rocky”, from the album on Monday, January 5, further building anticipation for the long-awaited record. While earlier headlines surrounding “Don’t Be Dumb” were less favourable, including reports that the project had only around 6,000 physical pre-orders before cancellations in 2024, recent streaming data suggests interest has grown significantly.
According to figures, Don’t Be Dumb currently stands at 499,900 pre-saves on Spotify. The number does not include pre-adds from other platforms such as Apple Music. At the time of reporting, the album ranked as the fourth most pre-saved project on Spotify, behind Joji’s Piss In The Wind with 985,600 pre-saves, Gorillaz’s The Mountain with 845,300, and Charli XCX’s Wuthering Heights soundtrack album at 549,200.
The pre-save total also places A$AP Rocky ahead of Kanye West’s upcoming album BULLY, which reportedly has 473,900 Spotify pre-saves.
Don’t Be Dumb is scheduled for release on January 16. The project is expected to feature a wide mix of styles and influences and may be A$AP Rocky’s most ambitious album to date. The forthcoming single “Punk Rocky” will be accompanied by a music video starring Winona Ryder, offering fans their first major look at the album’s direction.
